Overall, I think that this business plan could work. Although there are some areas that need evaluated more, I find that this concept can be very applicable to the lives of UF students. I think who we are offering are in a market that is underserved. Currently there is no phone repair place on campus. One of the gaps I found from interviews, was the concern of whether or not their insurance plans would be covered by our repair center. I think if we accepted most insurance plans like Asurion, that it could be more successful. People care because it is easy and convenient.

Idea napkin no. 1

Hey Elizabeth, really enjoyed reading your post! I think you made a great observation here looking at whether or not insurance would be able to cover the cost of repairing students phones. College students don't have the most money and even if there is a repair place in town, some people may be okay keeping their cracked phone if they can't afford the repair chargers. I really like the way you're looking at this opportunity, great post!
ReplyDeleteHey Elizabeth, nice post! It was a great idea to allow your service to be covered by insurance plans. Although this is a great idea, it might be difficult to execute in practice. It might cost more to your company, which could raise prices higher than college students could afford. You might want to consider looking into this if you are seriously pursuing this idea of yours.
